Hello and welcome to the Edinburgh International Science Festival’s schools touring programme.

We are currently updating our programme for 2011. We hope to have our programmes winging their way to schools all across Scotland by mid September.

However please feel free to contact us if you have something specific in mind or can't wait for it to come through the post and we can send you a pdf as soon as the programme can be circulated.

As an educational charity our mission is to inspire, encourage and challenge people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and understand the world around them – and to communicate the educational, social and economic benefits of science and technology.

We use a unique combination of professional communicators, tailor-made props and an expertise in science education to bring unforgettable shows into your own school.

In 2009, Generation Science engaged with more than 600 primary schools, and 60,000 pupils enjoyed our shows and workshops – we received great reports from them and their teachers. We toured Scotland from Dumfries & Galloway to Shetland, through 31 local authorities, and clocked up 70,000 miles (that’s twice around the world!).

We have continued to work hard to develop our shows in line with the revised Curriculum for Excellence to give schools an even better experience in 2010.
